WINGS
Wings is a collection about connection to place, movement and belonging. Created through layered texture and natural materials, the works explore the invisible threads that connect us to the landscapes we move through and the experiences that shape us. Natural sand and crushed shells gathered from Machynys Beach, Carmarthenshire are embedded within the surfaces, physically bringing a fragment of the Welsh landscape into the work. Earthly materials meet celestial imagery, creating a dialogue between what grounds us and what calls us forward. Across Connected and Convergence, wings become more than a symbol of flight. They speak of movement, transformation and the different paths that ultimately bring us to where we belong. Two original works. One story of connection, movement and becoming.
