The textured wings emerge from a deeply layered landscape, incorporating natural sand and crushed shells gathered from Machynys Beach in Carmarthenshire.

Their presence makes the landscape more than inspiration. A physical piece of place has become part of the artwork itself.

Created using acrylic paint, heavy-texture medium, crushed glass, natural sand, crushed shells, and natural citrine, the work brings together earth, mineral, and light, and is finished with a satin varnish.

It is a piece about belonging and the idea that wherever life carries us, some places become woven permanently into who we are.
